Consulting

Understand the problem.
Shape what comes next.

You may have research, requirements, and stakeholder input and still need a usable direction. I help teams connect that material to the work people need to do, the constraints around it, and the decisions needed to move forward.

Where I can contribute

Research, workflows, and service design

Understand how work moves between people and systems. Bring interviews, observations, business rules, and handoffs into a shared view of the problem.

At Sedgwick, I mapped field inspection and claims reporting to inform a proposed app and its supporting process.

Content strategy and information architecture

Organize information around what people need to understand and do. Clarify labels, page responsibilities, and the paths between useful pieces of content.

The Mondelēz case connects business goals, content, and user paths. U.S. Bank shows related work carried into a website redesign.

Product design and shared systems

Turn a direction into interactions, reusable patterns, and guidance a team can use. Define the behavior, conditions, and exceptions that a screen alone cannot explain.

Pride at AliveCor brought shared components and behavior into product work. RLI’s bond workflow required detailed guidance for implementation.

AI-assisted working methods

Examine how a task is defined, what context the tools need, and where human review belongs. My current writing follows that work through drafting, project decisions, and workflow review.

The workflow-audit article applies service-blueprint thinking to the instructions and handoffs in an AI-assisted process.

Working together

We begin with your situation and the work already available: research, business rules, support issues, prototypes, or an existing product. Together, we identify the question to resolve and agree on the scope.

I work directly with the people who know the problem. I can lead the research, workflow design, and experience direction within the agreed remit. Your team retains its responsibilities for priorities, technical decisions, and delivery.

The output follows its next use. That might be a workflow to resolve with stakeholders, a prototype to test, or guidance for implementation. The handoff makes the decisions and remaining questions clear to the people continuing the work.
